JaKS Academic Resources, LLC was founded in 2009 by Dr. Jennifer Holling. The company name is derived from the three consultants, Jennifer, Katherine, and Stephanie.
Jennifer Holling earned her PhD in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004, specializing in second language writing. Jennifer has worked as a Bilingual/ESL consultant, a teacher trainer, and an ESL teacher in Texas and Slovakia. Dr. Holling has 19 years experience as a professional trainer. Jennifer is currently interested in academic writing development and creating materials and resources to help teachers of ELLs.
Katherine Holling received her Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Texas in San Antonio in 2007. She has worked for the past ten years as a case manager, teacher and counselor, specializing in at-risk students. She is the author of Character and Esteem Building. Ms. Holling has 15 years experience as a professional trainer. Katherine is currently interested in character education and RTI development.
Stephanie Holling received her Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University in 1993. She has taught secondary and adult computer literacy and has served as an administrator in career development. She has been a forerunner in career pathways development in Texas and Colorado. Ms. Holling has 20 years experience as a professional trainer. Stephanie is currently interested in the integration of ESL into CTE and instructional coaching.
